Lactation Consultant - RN - Part Time - First Shift

About the role

Lactation Consultant is a professional health care provider who has the knowledge and communication skills necessary to assist mothers choosing to breastfeed their babies.

Responsibilities

• Attends yearly in-service programs
• Provides assessment, care and treatment appropriate to the age group of patients served

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Three years commercial landscape experience preferred
• 5-10 years of commercial landscape maintenance experience preferred
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required
• Current RN license in the State of Virginia
• IBCLC required within two years of hire
• Current BCLS certification
• Knowledgeable in the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological stages of human growth and development
• Competent to provide assessment, care and treatment appropriate to the age group of patients served
