Laborist - Full-Time Contract

About the role

Full-time OB Nocturnist responsible for managing labor & delivery, triage, postpartum, ED calls, and GYN emergencies at a high-volume women’s hospital.

Responsibilities

• Cover labor & delivery, postpartum, triage, and GYN emergencies
• Handle calls with experienced Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)
• Provide backup for GYN surgeries, including ectopic pregnancies
• Utilize hospital support, including 24-hour perinatal and GYN/ONC services with dedicated OB anesthesia
• Manage high-volume deliveries (~9,000 per year)
• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic emergency care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure quality patient care in a Level III NICU environment

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a busy labor & delivery setting (5+ years preferred)
• Ability to obtain privileges for basic laparoscopy and management of ectopic pregnancies (must have completed 10 cases in the last 2 years)
• Comfort with high-acuity obstetric and gynecologic care
• Strong communication skills
