LABORER - Weekend Crew For Parks & Recreation (Age 18 with Driving Responsibilities)

Full-time, seasonal position with a weekend schedule (Friday–Tuesday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM). Pay rate: $18.23/hour.

About the role

Our weekend team consists of two employees who ensure park pavilions and facilities are clean and ready for back-to-back weekend gatherings. You’ll work outdoors, service multiple locations, and provide excellent customer service to the public.

Responsibilities

• Review reservation schedules with the work lead.
• Fill a tank on a utility trailer with water, drive a vehicle while towing the trailer, and operate a power washer to clean facilities.
• Remove garbage, lost-and-found items, and other materials from facilities.
• Respond to unusual circumstances between scheduled uses.
• Service garbage receptacles periodically throughout the day.
• Inspect pavilions and facilities after use; report damage or violations of use agreements to the parks maintenance supervisor.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid Utah Driver License held for at least 12 months (excluding learner’s permit) and a driving record acceptable to Tooele City’s risk management and insurance standards.
• Available to work the full schedule (Friday–Tuesday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM) through the end of October.
• Familiarity with affixing and towing a small trailer.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Enthusiasm for teamwork and customer service.
