Laborer - Point Lay

About the role

The incumbent performs a variety of manual facility maintenance, minor repair, and simple project tasks. Duties include cleaning work areas and equipment, moving supplies, cleaning and washing equipment, repairing departmental equipment, shuttling parts, operating departmental equipment, and preparing and updating records and documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, sanitation, and janitorial duties as directed.
• May be required to work non-traditional schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• May be subject to 24-hour on-call status.

Requirements

• Valid Alaska Drivers License meeting North Slope Borough insurance criteria.
• Documentation of adequate Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Hepatitis A vaccinations.
• Ability to pass FBI fingerprint background check.
• Pass criminal history background check conducted by the State of Alaska Background Check Unit.

Qualifications

• Some high school, High school diploma or GED, Some college, Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, Doctorate.
