Requirements

• Knowledge of proper and safe use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction work.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• Ability to lift objects less than or equal to 100 pounds.
• Walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous and non-strenuous physical labor under general construction conditions.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Must be eligible for and maintain a Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities/Duties

• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous and non-strenuous manual labor in construction projects.
• Material handling, loading, unloading and storage.
• Lifting, carrying and moving materials by hand, cart, wheel barrel or hand truck 100 pound weight limit per person.
• Assist in the performance of minor wall, ceiling, conduit, piping and floor demolition by using hand and power tools.
• Transport and place concrete.
• Mix mortar for brick and block masons using hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean job site: Sweeping, mopping, shoveling typical construction trash and debris for removal to the trash chute or dumpster.
• Pick up tools, power cords and equipment to be secured in the job site lock box each day.
• Hoist Operation.
• Other duties as assigned.
