Laborer I - Golf Course Maintenance

About the role

The Golf Course Maintenance Laborer I at The Club at Kukui'ula plays a crucial role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our renowned golf course. In this role, you will operate light equipment, prepare and cultivate the soil, plant and maintain vegetative materials, assist in constructing various golf course features, and carry out general maintenance and repair work on all golf course grounds and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate light equipment such as line trimmers, edgers, and blowers
• Manage powered vehicles and mowers, both electric and fuel-powered tools
• Use hand tools, hoses, and planting material
• Assist in the construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and planting beds
• Perform general maintenance and repair work on all golf course grounds and facilities
• Grade and prepare soil for seed, plants, or trees
• Lay sod, plant vegetative materials, and cultivate and trim vegetative materials
• Operate transportation vehicles such as tricksters, golf carts, and utility vehicles
• Adhere to safety protocols and operate all equipment and vehicles safely and responsibly
• Work both independently and as part of a team, following instructions as directed

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating light equipment
• Experience with hand tools, hoses, and planting material
• Familiarity with safety equipment and protocols
• Knowledge and experience in grading and preparing soil for seed, plants, or trees
• Skilled in laying sod, planting vegetative materials, and cultivating and trimming vegetative materials

Pay

$22.10 to $26.00 USD hourly
