Laborer I

Martin Marietta is seeking a motivated individual to join our team at the Buildex site in Dearborn, MO. The site includes quarry operations, kiln operations, and sales operations. This role assists with plant operations in a 24/7 facility.

Responsibilities

• Operates production equipment with clear directions within company guidelines and safety standards
• Learns to perform preventive maintenance on production equipment
• Performs production maintenance as directed
• Takes on additional tasks and assignments as required, including duties outside the typical scope of the role to support team operations and organizational needs

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with OSHA and MSHA regulations
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Experience with production equipment operation

Work Environment

• Frequently operates in outdoor environments
• Physical requirements include:
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds from ground to waist
  • Visual acuity, speech, and hearing
  • Hand and eye coordination, manual dexterity
  • Repetitive motion, standing, sitting, walking
  • Climbing stairs, bending, stooping
  • Working from elevated positions
  • Ability to drive

Schedule

• Full-time position with potential for 12-hour shifts and weekend work
• Plant operates 24/7
• Potential for 2nd shift work

Pay

$22 an hour
