About The Role
We are looking for a Laborer to join our Operations team on our project in Chester, VA. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing the worksite
- Assisting safety team
- Handling and moving jobsite materials
- Assisting carpenters with any projects
- Help with loading and unloading of deliveries
Qualifications
- Possess 1-year of construction experience
- Understanding of safety and general construction knowledge
- Provide primary support to our field supervision
- Be able to use critical thinking to solve issues on the worksite
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects
- Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction
- Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time
Preferred
- Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment
- Must be able to work outside
- Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours
- Punctuality and promptness are required every day
