Laborer - Grade Team
Role Overview
Knife River is seeking Laborers to work on construction projects in Southern Idaho. Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing construction sites, assisting with various tasks such as demolitions, utility work, and road construction.
Responsibilities
- Assist with manual operations at heavy highway construction sites
- Participate in demolitions
- Work with underground utilities
- Remove trees and debris
- Read blueprints and designs
- Control traffic
- Clear and prepare highway work zones
- Dig trenches
- Install sewer, water, and storm drainpipes
- Pour concrete and/or asphalt onto roads
- Operate tools and machines
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years' experience working as a laborer in the heavy highway field
- Hardworking, dependable, and capable of performing manual labor for approximately 90% of their work shift
- Physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance
- The ability to understand and communicate information
