Laborer, General (Seasonal) - AgVantage FS - Dewar, IA

About the role

This position assists in daily operational duties at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operations at a retail supply location.
• Follow maintenance schedules for facility and equipment.
• Manage inventory and distribution of products.
• Drive and deliver miscellaneous products as requested.
• Stock and move warehouse product and material.
• Assist full-time and part-time operations personnel.
• Maintain facility and equipment image.
• Improve efficiency and reduce costs to meet goals.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Work with the location manager on all safety and compliance issues.
• Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures.
• Perform local errands as needed.
• Perform all other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 or more years of retail-related work experience demonstrating knowledge of basic business principles, inventory management, and mechanics.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Frequently lift 51–70 lbs as needed.
• Frequently work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.).
• Exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours to meet seasonal demands.
• Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including GROWMARK’s policies and procedures.
