- Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Summary/Job Scope
Cleans plant as directed to keep it in safe operating condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor throughout the Plant and Quarry as directed.
- Including but not limited to shoveling, sweeping, vacuuming, jackhammering, etc.
- Report any environmental issues.
- Report any safety issues/concerns.
- Assist in any other activities as required.
- Fill in when trained as needed for other classifications containing vacancies.
- Other duties may be assigned
Authority/Decision Making
Limited expectation of independent decision-making Beyond day-to-day operational tasks. Work under the supervision of a Production Supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities.
Competencies
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Mental Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Tools and Equipment: Includes but not limited to: brooms, pick, shovel, bars, sledge hammer, jack hammer, wheelbarrows, drills, hand tools, steam cleaner, supersucker hose, ball screener, chipping gun, water pumps, etc.
