Laborer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Laborer to support our complex and dynamic projects. Reporting to the Director of Project Management at Tarkett Sports Construction, the Construction Laborer will assist construction crews, maintain a clean and safe job site, and perform various construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Absorb materials and organize the job site
• Maintain job site conditions throughout all phases of construction
• Perform site cleanup duties including piling lumber, sorting materials, loading/unloading deliveries, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning, and vacuuming
• Receive deliveries, verify quantities, and inventory job site materials
• Ensure proper management of waste containers and disposal of debris in designated construction waste bins
• Support site safety by identifying and reporting potential hazards or deficiencies to the Project Manager and Superintendent
• Perform light carpentry work as needed
• Assist with field installation work as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a construction laborer or in a similar role
• Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks including standing, bending, and working in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to job site safety
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
