About the role

The Craft – Laborer, Skilled, Cable is responsible for supervising crew members by ensuring productivity, safety, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates on-site assessment prior to commencing work to ensure that the job is ready and address any concerns.
  • Translates general work requirements into a prioritized work plan and communicates it to the crew.
  • Assigns tasks and oversees the execution of the work including quality and production.
  • Maintains work standards and outlines behavioral expectations to ensure morale, productivity, and safety.
  • Inspects and measures completed work.
  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
  • Safety: Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working, reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates “at risk” behaviors, reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly, ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence, adheres to and understands standard operating procedures, receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing, follows technical, quality and safety systems in place and determines appropriate action.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 3 or more years' construction experience required.
  • Ability to travel domestically 76-100% required.
  • Ability to teach and lead others.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to apply good problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Functional competencies include attention to detail, communication, casting the right shadow, accountability, and ethics and integrity.

Benefits

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Per Diem of $95 daily to cover lodging, meals and travel during rotation. RES offers benefits that are effective first day of employment. Physical Requirements And Environment

Occasionally: Crouching, kneeling, pinching, sitting, and stooping are required. Frequently: Carrying, pulling, pushing and lifting 31-50lbs; climbing, grasping, gripping, handling, reaching, standing and walking are required. Constantly: Reading, hearing, vision, and repetitive motions are required. Occasionally exposed to extreme cold and wet environments in the working environment. Frequently exposed to extreme heat, humidity, noise, hazards and vibration in the working environment.

Schedule

Ability to travel domestically 76-100% required.
