Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Drilling holes in fabricated steel.
• Affixing material to trucks for transport.
• Laying out and cutting material under the supervision of the Parts Supervisor.
• Grinding material for fit-up or post-weld processes.
• Cleaning material for painting purposes.
• Cleaning the shop and assisting fitters in positioning material for tacking.
• Operating various equipment including punches, magnetic drills, grinders, and sandblasting equipment.
• Scraping structural steel for paint preparation.
• Maintaining adherence to company safety and quality control policies and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months’ experience or willingness to train on the job.
• Ability to lift at least 100 pounds frequently.
• Capability to climb to unload trucks.
• Availability for considerable overtime and weekend work.
• Resilience to work in dusty and noisy environments.
• Resistance to exposure to temperature fluctuations.
