Laborer
About the role
We are seeking full-time Laborers to join our crews on residential, commercial, and public infrastructure projects across San Antonio, TX. This role is essential to keeping job sites running efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and building materials.
- Help set up and keep job sites clean and organized.
- Work with skilled trades (like carpenters or equipment operators) and help them as needed.
- Use hand tools and power tools (under supervision).
- Dig, lift, carry, and do other physical work as needed on site.
- Set up or take down things like scaffolding, barriers, or temporary structures.
- Haul tools and supplies between trucks and different areas of the site.
- Use walkie-talkies, phones, and other tools to stay in touch with your team.
- Use apps or company software to clock in/out, fill out safety forms, or send simple updates by text/email.
- Always wear your PPE (personal protective equipment) and follow all safety rules.
- Speak up and report any safety problems or hazards right away.
- Go to any safety meetings or training your supervisor asks you to attend.
- Perform other tasks your supervisor needs help with to keep the job moving.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License is preferred.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- OSHA 10 Certification is a plus.
- Prior construction or general labor experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be comfortable working with tools and doing physical work.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid Texas Driver’s License is preferred. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. OSHA 10 Certification is a plus.
- Experience: Prior construction or general labor experience is strongly preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Comfortable doing hard, physical work outdoors in all kinds of weather. Strong work ethic – shows up on time, works hard, and gets along with others. Knows how to safely lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs). Able to use a phone or simple apps to check in, fill out forms, and send messages. Speaks English and Spanish (or can help translate) – a big plus. Has reliable transportation to get to and from the job site. Always keeps safety a top priority and is willing to attend training and report any issues.

Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site position — no remote or hybrid options. Typical Work Hours: Monday – Friday, starting as early as 5:00 AM and ending as late as 6:00 PM (Exact hours may change depending on the job or weather.) Typically 8-12 hour shifts. You may be asked to work overtime or on Saturdays when needed.
Physical Requirements
This job involves a lot of moving, lifting, climbing, bending, and standing. You’ll work outside in the heat, cold, or rain depending on the day. You’ll also use tools and may operate equipment or vehicles. As a condition of employment, the selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
