Laborer

Job Overview

Under direction of Construction Manager, provide support to asphalt cutting, trenching, pipeline installation, bedding placement, compaction, traffic control and basin refurbishing activities (loading trucks and stockpile excavated soil and asphalt, effluent pipe installation, backfill, compaction, and restructuring existing basins).

The base company wage for the Laborer position is $30.00/hr. However, for this project, the Laborer position will be paid the Federal prevailing wage for work performed. It is anticipated to start work on June 8, 2026.

Project Description

HDPE pipeline and basin infrastructure construction.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Use of hand tools
• Ability to work in team environment in safe and productive manner
• Install erosion control measures
• Clear vegetation
• Ability to safely operate a 5-6 yd, single axle, manual transmission dump truck (No CDL license necessary) to transport excess soil and asphalt to laydown area.
• Pipe bedding material placement
• Pipe installation
• Compaction and backfilling trench
• Flagging vehicle traffic
• Perform site restoration

Basic Qualifications

• Civil Construction
• No Felonies
• Clean driving record with valid license
• Dependable transportation and cell phone
• Able to live within daily commute of Wantagh, New York
• Able to pass drug screen and physical

Work Schedule

5 days/week with 8 hrs/day
