Laborer (3rd Shift)

About the role
This position involves moving office and factory furniture and equipment, performing cleaning and maintenance tasks, and supporting the maintenance department as needed.
Responsibilities
- Move office and factory furniture and equipment as required.
- Load, unload, and drive vehicles for the maintenance department on company property or public highways; report any accidents.
- Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) on applicable equipment and energy sources as needed.
- Clean coolant pits, machine chip pits, ducts, fans, blowers, and eliminators.
- Clean and disinfect office spaces, production areas, machining areas, and machines as directed by management.
- Perform minor dismantling of equipment to facilitate cleaning.
- Clean overhead pipes, ducts, light fixtures, light shades, and machines using ladders, cherry pickers, telescoping platforms, or crow’s nests.
- Apply sealer to cement as needed.
- Remove snow, spread salt, and/or sand on walks and driveways.
- Wear and use all required safety equipment applicable to tasks.
- Perform minor maintenance and emergency repairs, such as replacing worn-out parts.
- Empty trash baskets and containers; vacuum carpets, wash windows, mop, strip, seal, and wax floors.
- Clean, scrub, sanitize, and power wash restrooms; restock supplies.
- Clean and service plant cafeteria(s).
- Maintain Production Clean Rooms in accordance with General Process Instructions.
- Support crafts in performing preventive maintenance activities.
- Operate walk stackers, walk-behind sweepers, and walk-behind scrubbers.
- Use tools and equipment including brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, window cleaning equipment, washing machines, dryers, buffers, and ladders.
- Use chore boy, scooter, and bicycle to expedite duties.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship (required for obtaining and maintaining a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work any shift.
- Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds.
- Ability to wear a respirator and associated PPE, including gloves (latex), Tyvek suits, and hearing protection.
