Primary Responsibilities
- Optimize laboratory procedures to produce reliable and impactful results.
- Handle sensitive equipment to analyze samples and report findings to the Laboratory Manager.
- Receive, label, and analyze samples (blood, toxic, tissue, etc.).
- Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations, and interpret findings.
- C Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject hypotheses using refined scientific methods.
- Organize and store chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety protocols.
- Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and accountability.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and assist in ordering supplies.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly environment.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline; equivalent work experience considered.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of complex laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, materials, and substances.
- Skilled in laboratory equipment usage, statistical calculations, and report preparation.
- English language proficiency
- Independent data entry execution from multiple sources
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
- Office 365 skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Critical/problem solving mindset
- Laboratory testing procedures and good laboratory practices
- Lab safety behaviors and techniques
- Ability to follow SOPs and scientific protocols
- Basic computer skills and typing proficiency
