About the Role
The Laboratory Technician III performs laboratory testing in the microbiology lab within a fast-paced GMP environment in support of one or more of the following areas: environmental monitoring, raw materials, in-process product, and final product. Analyzes test data and evaluates results. Writes procedures with guidance. Works under the supervision of a supervisor but is able to manage time efficiently to achieve timely completion of assigned duties.
Responsibilities
- Performs test methods as written to support product/material release.
- Understands and maintains a safe work environment for themselves and others in accordance with procedural requirements.
- Understands, implements, and maintains GMP with respect to laboratory records, procedures, and systems in accordance with procedural requirements.
- Performs environmental monitoring with required equipment and within required frequency.
- Accepts responsibility to complete assigned tasks as committed. Works with others to maintain a positive atmosphere to accomplish business objectives.
- Revises procedures as necessary and provides support for the department.
- Supports investigations.
- Effectively performs a multitude of laboratory techniques for which they are trained on with minimal error.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology, or equivalent science degree with less than 2 years of pertinent experience, or High School Diploma with 2+ years of combined experience in Manufacturing, QA, QC, or R&D in the pharmaceutical or biologics industry.
- Maintains certifications as needed for assigned job tasks.
This is a Night Shift position. Hours: 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM.
Pay
The compensation range described is the range of possible base pay the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of posting, based on the job grade. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including geographic location, and may ultimately vary. This range may be modified in the future. The job is eligible to participate in AbbVie’s short-term incentive programs.
