Laboratory Technician - Eurofins Environment Testing - Memphis, TN

About the role

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services across multiple industries to make life and the environment safer, healthier, and more sustainable. The Laboratory Technician I supports laboratory operations by performing general maintenance, sample preparation, and documentation in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America’s Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Performs sample preparation including aliquoting, spiking and tracing, reagent preparation, bottle sampling, concentration adjustments, separation, sonication, liquid rack setup, and microbiology work.
• Resolves discrepancies and anomalies to ensure proper sample labeling.
• Prepares general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
• Washes laboratory glassware to prepare for next day’s samples.
• Stocks laboratory supplies and cleans work areas to maintain a safe working environment.
• Builds bottle kits for clients and assists other laboratory areas as needed.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 year degree in science with chemistry coursework and basic laboratory experience.
• General knowledge of chemistry and/or general science.
• Basic mathematical skills and production work experience.
• Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task, learn quickly, work independently, and meet time constraints.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Schedule

Full-time Monday through Friday day shift. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Memphis, TN are encouraged to apply.
