Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Working in laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings.
• Plant sampling, DNA extraction, high-throughput PCR, and laboratory inventory sample management.
• Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.

Requirements

• BS in Science (Chemistry, Biology, or related fields) is strongly preferred.
• Those working toward a BS in Science with previous laboratory experience will be considered.
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR.
• Must be familiar with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.
• 1 years+ prior relevant experience working in a research laboratory environment is required.
