Laboratory Technician

Job Summary

Responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures under supervision. Duties include preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, recording results, and maintaining laboratory instruments.

Responsibilities

• Prepares specimens for testing according to established protocols.
• Operates laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, and chromatography systems.
• Records and documents test results accurately and promptly.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies in good working order.
• Follows safety procedures and adheres to quality control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., biology, chemistry).
• One year of relevant laboratory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Skills

• Proficient in using laboratory equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
