Responsibilities
- Processing specimens accurately to ensure integrity and proper testing
- Managing specimen accessioning
- Performing proper collection techniques such as venipuncture and capillary draws
- Verifying patient identification
- Labeling specimens correctly
- Preparing and receiving 24‑hour urine containers per protocol
- Maintaining effective communication and teamwork
- Being flexible to perform additional duties as assigned
- Emphasizing accuracy, safety, teamwork, and adherence to laboratory procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of laboratory or phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting
