General Statement of Responsibility
Perform routine laboratory support tasks including washing of hair samples, sample handling and organization, instrument maintenance, and general laboratory assistant duties to support Hair Lab operations.
Essential Functions
- Wash and prepare hair samples according to established procedures.
- Sort, organize, and store incoming and processed hair samples in accordance with laboratory protocols.
- Maintain accurate tracking and labeling of samples to ensure proper identification and chain of custody.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Absorb and report instrument or process issues to leadership.
- Support laboratory workflow by preparing materials and supplies needed for testing.
- Absorb and monitor inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Perform general laboratory aide duties, including cleaning work areas and washing laboratory glassware or tools as needed.
- Unpack, stock, and organize laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Comply with all company, departmental, and regulatory SOPs, including safety and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding workflow or issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company and client information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in clinical laboratory, chemical, biological science or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Highschool diploma and 6 months of pertinent laboratory experience or an Associates degree in a relevant scientific field.

Physical Requirements
- Regular standing and movement throughout the laboratory.
- Repetitive use of hands and arms for washing and handling samples.
- Close vision for sample identification and data handling.
- Reaching, bending, and stooping.
- Pushing and pulling carts or storage units.
- Lifting up to 35 pounds.

Pay Range
$17.00 - $30.00
