Laboratory Team Lead - Point of Care

Role Overview: The Point of Care Laboratory Team Lead manages POC testing at multiple hospital sites, ensuring quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities Oversee non-waived and waived POC testing across hospital and affiliated sitesDevelop, coordinate, and document staff training and competency assessmentsManage POC instrumentation, including validation, maintenance, and troubleshootingConduct unit rounding to support staff, troubleshoot issues, and monitor qualityInvestigate quality events, testing discrepancies, and implement corrective actions Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical TechnologyAt least 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist or TechnicianASCP CertificationStrong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulationsProficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory information systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to pass a color blindness test
