Laboratory Support Technician
Responsibilities
- Reads blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, measuring instruments, and operational instructions to provide support for testing activities.
- Evaluates laboratory support activity results and may review data for conformance with specifications.
- Operates designated laboratory equipment and tools as directed.
- Responds to user requests to repair and/or modify existing laboratory instrumentation, automated systems and test fixtures.
- Records observed or calculated data on appropriate UL forms as the record of laboratory support activities.
- Plans laboratory support activities, and evaluates results, as directed.
- Performs routine maintenance on existing laboratory instrumentation, automated systems and test fixtures using established procedures.
- Ensures both new and existing test systems meet safety requirements and comply with local laws.
- Designs and builds test fixtures.
- Reads and follows the UL Standards of Business Conduct and adheres to all physical and digital security practices.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in laboratory equipment maintenance, manufacturing equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or similar.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Welding experience is preferred.

- Total Rewards: Estimated salary range for this position is $60,000-67,000, based on job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and other factors.
