Laboratory Support Technician (Anatomic Pathology)

About the role

Sentara Health is hiring a laboratory support technician to work full‑time days in the Anatomic Pathology Lab at Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA. The role supports the Anatomic Pathology lab and assists in cytology collection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens per discipline operating procedures for result/interpretation by technical staff.
• Perform instrument maintenance and inventory functions according to operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical technology (required).
• No certification or licensure required.

Pay

Base pay range for full‑time employment is $19.96 – $29.25 hourly. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation varies based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.

Schedule

First (Days) – Monday through Friday, 07:00‑15:30.
