Laboratory Section Leader

Job Summary

The primary responsibility is with the accurate and timely performance of laboratory tests as assigned. The Lab Section Leader is responsible for the chemistry, microbiology, hematology, or blood bank of the laboratory. They are also responsible for the overall operations of the laboratory, including providing and supervising high quality lab tests, quality control, preventive maintenance of equipment, computer activities, and collection of specimens. The population served includes infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Qualifications

• (MLS) Medical Laboratory Scientist, or (MT-AAB) Medical Technologist, or (MLT) Medical Laboratory Technician
• Bachelor's Degree, or Associate Degree
• Two years as Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician required
