About the role

As a Laboratory Scientist 2 - Quality Labs, you’ll design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret data, and help drive compliance with regulatory and quality standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Chemistry quality control centric focus on determination of Ethylene Oxide and ethylene chlorohydrin residue on medical device.
  • Develop and validate gas chromatography (GC) methods for Ethylene Oxide (EtO) and Ethylene Chlorohydrin (ECH) residual analysis using Agilent 7890A and 8890 GC systems, ensuring alignment with SOP-defined calibration models.
  • Interfaces with industry representatives and customers on routine matters.
  • Helps to develop and implement plans and procedures to comply with applicable local, state, federal, and international regulations. Modifies, updates, and executes established programs to achieve and maintain a state of compliance.
  • Supports investigation and resolution of nonconformances, deviations, and laboratory-related quality events by contributing technical input, root cause analysis, and documented corrective actions in alignment with quality system requirements.
  • Performs accurate data entry into computer databases. Interprets and analyzes scientific data into product reports and summaries.
  • Develops and validates analytical techniques, written procedures, and standard protocols to support research, scientific, technical, or engineering-related disciplines.
  • Participates in project leadership responsibilities such as report writing, planning, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Serves as a specified program subject matter expert for audits and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Handles implementation of protocols and procedures involving hazardous chemicals, known infectious or potentially infectious agents in responsible manner.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in physical science, life science, or related science discipline or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience or years of graduate study may be considered.
  • Skills: Ability to independently design and perform project work or experiments, analyze data, and report results; strong working knowledge of technical principles in assigned areas; strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements; ability to develop solutions to technical problems of moderate to intermediate complexity, make appropriate decisions, and meet time constraints; ability to work independently with minimal direction; strong working knowledge of statistical tools for quality assurance, experimental design, and data analysis; knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Pay

Target Pay Range: $71,900.00 to $89,900.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
