Responsibilities
- Support Cryogenic & Tritium Facility operations producing and supporting tritium filled targets for use on the Omega Laser system.
- Support cryogenic and vacuum systems through data-driven analysis, technical evaluation, and hands-on operation and testing.
- Perform engineering analysis to support subsystem development, performance, evaluation, operational activities and ensure system safety.
- Collect, process, and interpret technical data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance improvements.
- Maintain radiological containment areas and conduct laboratory and field-testing using equipment such as oscilloscopes and other diagnostic tools.
- Support validation and verification activities through structured test planning and documentation.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and test plans to provide clear direction for technicians and operators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, engineers, and technicians.
- Support system upgrade projects and software development.
- Have responsibility over minor aspects under the direction of a project manager.
Requirements
- Complete qualification and stand watch in operation of the cryogenic and tritium facility including non-standard shift hours as needed.
- Qualify as a NYS Radiation Worker within 12 months of being hired.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM field and 2 years of relevant experience required.
Skills

- Technical proficiency with equipment such as oscilloscopes.
