Laboratory Chemist
We are seeking a Laboratory Chemist to join a growing bioanalytical laboratory team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career scientists looking to build hands-on laboratory experience in a regulated environment.
About the role
This role will focus on sample preparation, laboratory testing, and analytical techniques while working alongside an experienced team in a laboratory-based, collaborative scientific environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and process biological samples, including blood, urine, and plasma.
- Perform laboratory testing following established procedures and protocols.
- Utilize common laboratory equipment such as pipettes, balances, and pH meters.
- Assist with sample preparation and extraction techniques.
- Operate automated laboratory and liquid-handling equipment.
- Record and review data using electronic laboratory systems.
- Follow Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines and laboratory safety procedures.
- Learn and support analytical instrumentation, including HPLC and LC-MS, through on-the-job training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related Life Science field.
- Laboratory experience gained through coursework, research projects, internships, or part-time employment.
- Experience with basic laboratory techniques, including pipetting and solution preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new laboratory skills.
Pay
$24.00 - $26.00/hour.
