Laboratory Assistant - Pathology Laboratory

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomies on patients of all age groups
• Perform patient registrations and order laboratory tests in the EMR
• Process laboratory specimens
• Collect specialized tests
• Perform breath alcohol testing

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Successful completion of a background check appropriate for the position’s responsibilities

Qualifications

• Completion of a phlebotomy, certified nursing assistant, or medical assistant training course (preferred)
• Certification with ASCP or the National Healthcareer Association, Inc. as a certified phlebotomy technician or other discipline listed above (preferred)
• Customer service experience (preferred)
