About the role
The Laboratory Assistant Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the laboratory department, ensuring accurate and timely testing results while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of laboratory operations including quality control, safety, and compliance.
- Manage and train laboratory staff, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Perform routine testing and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., biology, chemistry).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Current certification in relevant laboratory procedures (e.g., CLIA).
- Experience with laboratory informatics systems.
