Essential Job Functions

• Maintains and cleans laboratory rooms and equipment to ensure cleanness and maintenance according to specifications.
• Orders and stocks supplies and materials to ensure inventory is maintained at the appropriate level.
• Maintains and cleans laboratory rooms and equipment to ensure cleanness and maintenance according to specifications.
• Enforce all lab safety protocols and have knowledge of chemical and biological handling, storage, and disposal.
• Maintains and cleans laboratory rooms and equipment to ensure cleanness and maintenance according to specifications.
• Monitors and supports the activities of students, employees and teaching assistants to ensure that standard policies and practices are followed.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements

• Computer literate; must be able to work with spreadsheets and databases.
• Able to work both days and/or night.
• Must be able to work with diverse group of people.
• Able to communicate effectively with others.
• Able to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
• May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils and computer keyboards.

Experience working in a laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching laboratory sessions.
