Laboratory Assistant

Responsibilities

Performs a limited number of routine laboratory tests and initial sample preparation, collects specimens, distributes samples to work areas, and performs clerical functions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (formal education)
• Six (6) months experience with exposure to clerical/detail oriented tasks; prior healthcare experience preferred
• Medium physical demand: exerts 20‑50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10‑25 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount continuously to move objects

• Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers, understanding their needs for self‑respect and dignity
