Laboratory Assistant - Anatomic Pathology

Position Summary

In this role, the successful candidate supports the distribution process within the department of Anatomic Pathology. The clerks are responsible for filing and distributing the on-site and off-site materials produced by the laboratories and assisting with sending out any relevant send-out requests.

Job Responsibilities

• Filing and pulling specimen tissue blocks and slides, distributing slides to MDs.
• Preparing slides and blocks shipments for off-site storage.
• Other clerical duties related to archiving documents, block and slides as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• Effective oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of personal computer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• A minimum of one year of full time work experience in a laboratory setting.

Pay

The salary range for the role is $52,203.42 - $52,203.42 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
