Labor Relations Representative - Kiewit Power Constructors
Responsibilities
- Administer labor relations activities in compliance with applicable labor laws
- Interpret and support the application of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs)
- Cookordinate office activities to ensure efficiency and policy compliance
- Maintain organized contract records, including correspondence, amendments, and change orders
- Manage labor relations files, grievances, and arbitration documentation
- Track grievance processes, timelines, and resolutions
- Prepare reports, summaries, and labor relations correspondence
- Serve as a liaison between management, employees, and union representatives
- Provide administrative support for negotiations, hearings, and labor-management meetings
- Maintain accurate databases for labor agreements and bargaining unit information
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance in handling labor-related matter
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in labor relations, HR administration, or a related function
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
- Strong organizational and record keeping skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR or labor relations systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with unionized environments preferred
Pay
Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The position is based out of Lenexa, KS. Regular, reliable attendance is required. Work productively and meet deadlines timely. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. May work at various different locations.
