Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with their daily business activities
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Record and store client information
- Prepare and format legal documents
- Maintain client files within the firm's document management system
- Manage attorney calendars, including deadlines, and meetings
- Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements
- Assist with time entry, billing support, and expense reimbursements
- Review vendor invoices and submit for payment
- Provide backup and overflow support to attorneys and staff as needed
Qualifications
- Must be an experienced Labor & Employment Legal Assistant with 3+ years of experience
- Must have a stable background, preferably with small to mid-size law firms
- Familiarity with document management
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess strong attention to detail and deadlines and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and document management systems strongly preferred
- Only candidates with a minimum of 3 years of recent law firm experience will be considered
Pay
Competitive salary commensurate with experience, with performance bonuses; pay range $24–$40 per hour.
