Labor & Employment Associate - Sacramento
About the Role
Our client, a highly regarded Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its Sacramento office. This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognized employment practice and work alongside experienced attorneys on sophisticated workplace matters. The team represents employers across a variety of industries and offers associates meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and exposure to a broad range of labor and employment issues.
Role Summary
The associate will work closely with clients and senior attorneys on a variety of employment matters, ranging from single-plaintiff disputes to complex workplace issues. This role offers hands-on experience, substantive responsibility, and the opportunity to develop a well-rounded labor and employment practice within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers in state and federal employment litigation.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related documents.
- Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and other case-related proceedings.
- Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, leave and accommodation, and wrongful termination claims.
- Assist employers with administrative charges and agency investigations.
- Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace policies, and risk management issues.
- Collaborate with attorneys across a nationally recognized Labor & Employment practice.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of labor and employment law experience.
- Active California bar admission required.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience managing litigation responsibilities and client interaction.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range of $215,000-$255,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
