Labor & Delivery (RN) (PT) (Nights)

About the role

Provides direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medications. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring safety and quality compliance. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, effective patient care in a Labor and Delivery setting
• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medications
• Participate in professional development and maintain nursing standards
• Document care plans and evaluate patient needs holistically
• Communicate effectively across care teams to support individualized care plans

Requirements

• Must hold an active RN license
• Nursing diploma or associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• No prior experience required; less than two years' experience desirable
• This is a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices
