Labor Claim Technician

About the role

The Labor Claim Technician oversees various stages of product inspection during labor claims processing. They collaborate with the product team to identify and diagnose product defects and deviations affecting quality. Their responsibilities include analyzing trends to support company initiatives and developing product expertise as a subject matter expert (SME) for quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain workflow to ensure timely processing and closure of all received labor claims
  • Work with the product team to achieve and maintain desired proficiency in product failure analysis
  • Inspect, measure, and record all details about labor claims
  • Receive, identify, and sort UPS, FedEx, and DHL deliveries (distinguishing between samples and labor claims)
  • Manage internal quality tracking documents
  • Act as a resource and assist the product management team as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong automotive knowledge, specifically in diagnostic and troubleshooting
  • Must be able to use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers
  • Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate in verbal, written, and electronic formats, as well as understand directions and requests via phone or in person
  • Proficient in Office (especially in Excel / Word)
  • Ability to manage large amounts of data
  • Priority and meet deadlines

Physical Demands & Requirements

  • Physical effort: Occasional to frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
