Labor and Employment Legal Assistant
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a temporary-to-hire Legal Assistant to join its Labor & Employment practice group in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for a legal support professional with at least two years of legal assistant experience, preferably within a Labor & Employment or litigation-focused practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and legal support to a team consisting of one Shareholder and two Associates.
- Draft, edit, proofread, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, and other case-related documents.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel and logistics as needed.
- Assist with court filings and litigation support activities.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collapse document management and case-related deadlines.
- Coordinate with three Practice Assistants to support the broader practice group.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of legal assistant experience required.
- Prior experience in Labor & Employment law or litigation strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working effectively in a team environment.
