Labor and Employment Associates
Responsibilities
Includes litigation defense and advising employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws. Works on FMLA, ADA, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and violation of wage law matters. Experience dealing with NLRB issues, collective bargaining, and grievance/arbitration is preferred. Also takes depositions, argues motions, and prepares cases for trial.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must have 2-5 years of labor and employment experience. Must have a strong academic background, possess excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills, and be willing and able to travel in and out of state. A license to practice in Florida is required.
Qualifications
Preferred traditional labor experience includes dealing with NLRB issues, collective bargaining, and grievance/arbitration. Experience taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing cases for trial.
