About the role

Responsibilities include preparation, inspection, documentation, and distribution of labels used during the packaging process. Proficiency in the use of computer systems and printer maintenance is required. The role involves prioritizing label printing and conducting detailed reviews of each run. Participation in internal, external, or regulatory audits may be required. The scope includes all Sharp facilities, with the impact of label printing potentially exposing the company to significant risks or economic loss.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare internal labels for in-process work and component identification.
  • Prepare finished labels for clinicals, pallet identification, and finished products.
  • Conduct documented evaluation of all labels.
  • Operate and perform minor maintenance on label printers.
  • Verify clearance of label printers before proceeding to the next label run.
  • Train designated peers as a replacement at management’s request.
  • Order labeling supplies to ensure uninterrupted functionality of the label room.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of related experience/training, or a high school diploma with 4–6 years of related experience/training.
  • Experience in label generation for pharmaceutical or related industries is desired.
  • General knowledge of FDA regulations related to cGMPs.
  • General knowledge of quality control/assurance.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with label generation software (e.g., EasyLabel).

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The role is primarily desk-based but may require periodic visits to the shop floor. The environment is clean and not typically subject to hazardous conditions.
