About the role
To strengthen our team in Greensboro, NC, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Label Manufacturing Manager in our Flexo department.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment that engages employees in safe work practices, identifies and manages risk, and meets regulatory requirements.
- Develop a culture of safety compliance through training, reinforcement of risk management practices, and continuous observation and correction.
- Audit processes to ensure that the manufacturing discipline is adhering to production and quality procedures and practices.
- Develop, implement, and sustain a continuous improvement program for the Label department that meets or exceeds facility improvement targets.
- Provide coaching, training, and resources to enable successful performance.
- Sustain and improve the employee training program to ensure that all employees have the support to efficiently gain the skills required to be successful.
- Collaborate and support the activities of the Quality Manager in the establishment of quality management procedures, specification, and continuous improvement quality activities.
- Coordinate with and support the activities of the Materials and Production Planning Manager in developing production plans, schedules, and controlling materials.
- Attend production meetings and present on the success/failures/challenges/opportunities of the process and employees in the Label Department.
- Coordinate with the commercial team on assigned projects to assist in product development.
Qualifications
- Degree in a related field (Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent of related work experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in a comparable position and like to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with business related software as well as pre-press related software.
- Experience managing a department as well as a team.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical printing or the packaging industry.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.
