Lab Technologist - Monday - Thursday 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM (overnights) Urgent Need

Job Summary

Responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products. Operates production equipment. Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities. Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications. Validates processes and equipment that are directly related to filtration, cleaning and sterilization. Removes and disposes of waste chemicals, solvents and acids. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues associated with scientific operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Manufactures and assembles clinical and commercial products.
• Operates production equipment.
• Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches contain proper ingredients and quantities.
• Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.
• Validates processes and equipment related to filtration, cleaning and sterilization.
• Removes and disposes of waste chemicals, solvents and acids.
• Creates solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specifications.
• Provides training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures.
• Supports the lead/supervisor when necessary.
• Provides continuous improvement recommendations and/or solutions to support operational efficiency.
• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Fulfills client housekeeping and safety policies and procedures.
• Works overtime as required to meet client business needs.

Minimum Education/Experience

• High school with technical certification in laboratory operations plus 3 years laboratory experience.
• AS degree in a scientific discipline with 2-3 years laboratory experience.
• BS degree in a scientific discipline plus 1-2 years laboratory experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to operate independently.
• Proficient in English reading, writing, analyzing/evaluating charts, following simple diagrams, and performing basic arithmetic.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
