About the role
The primary purpose of this position is to perform blood collection and processing. Assist in procedures, quality control, enter results, and follow lab policy and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Aid in procedures and quality control
- Enter results
- Follow lab policy and procedures
- Perform all essential duties in a safe manner consistent with the Employer’s policies and state and federal laws
Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science Program
- Must be licensed by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (or as appropriate to area of assignment)
- Must Have Blood Bank experience
- Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills
Schedule
- All positions are in hospitals and nursing homes
- Facilities are open 24 hours/7 days each week
- General shift availability: Days (7a-3p or 8a-4p), Evenings (3p-11p or 4p-12a), Nights (11p-7a or 12a-8a)
- Every other weekend is usually required for all positions
