Lab Technician - Seneca
About the role
You will perform routine, semi-routine, and/or moderately complex chemical and physical analyses on a variety of materials supporting production activities in a fast-paced, aggressive, customer-service environment; with variable demands and a steep learning curve.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a variety of simple to moderately complex laboratory equipment and instruments, within predefined parameters while working across multiple labs.
- Carry out chemical and physical laboratory tests to make qualitative and quantitative material analyses.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail while keeping necessary records and accepting responsibility for all test results.
- Aid in inventory control of chemicals and apparatuses.
- Troubleshoot analytical processes with guidance.
- Adhere to safety regulations and proper material handling procedures associated with chemical operations while working in compliance with all EHS standards.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects including on-site customer requests.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, with 2 years of lab or related experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science discipline, preferred
Qualifications
- Work with hazardous chemicals daily, having proper respect for the inherent hazards and strict adherence to PPE or other safety requirements.
- Adhere to ISO standards and good quality control practices.
- Complete initial and ongoing on-the-job training as needed.

Pay
Starting Pay Rate - $25.00/hr. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
Schedule
Work a 12-hour schedule, day or night shift.
