Lab Technician/Scientist

Who are we looking for?

Our field office in Questa, NM is seeking a Lab Technician/Scientist to provide support to our team of senior Chemists and Scientists. This is a great opportunity for you to gain valuable experience and begin developing your science career.

Responsibilities

• Conducting simple wet chemistry tests on environmental samples
• Performing organic solvent extractions on groundwater and soil
• Aiding in the setup of treatability studies
• Aiding office staff in related work tasks and local field sampling programs as needed (training provided)
• Assisting in the general maintenance of the laboratory

Requirements

• Possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related field
• Have experience and aptitude for working in a lab environment through employment or school
• Show excellent organizational skills
• Show good written English skills
• Show proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Show good problem solving, analytical, and arithmetic skills
• Show a positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and proven time management skills
• Show self-starter, flexible, team player, willing & able to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision
