Lab Technician (Sample Prep/Organics)

About the role

The Lab Analyst position supports sample preparation activities for organic analysis within our environmental laboratory team in Commerce City, CO. This role plays a crucial part in delivering accurate, high-quality data for environmental testing programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation of environmental samples following established laboratory methods and procedures
• Accurately enter, review, and maintain sample preparation data within LIMS
• Perform routine quality control activities associated with sample preparation processes
• Follow SOPs, QA/QC standards, safety protocols, and chain-of-custody procedures
• Support laboratory workflow, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with laboratory team members to meet sample throughput and turnaround time objectives
• Absorb and perform housekeeping, glassware cleaning, and inventory management activities

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline preferred
• Hands-on laboratory experience gained through employment, internships, research projects, or academic coursework
• Previous professional experience working in fast-paced, high-throughput environments
• Familiarity with EPA 500-series methods and solid phase extraction (SPE) is a plus but not required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
